Day 04

Silverton, I wouldn't bother..the only good thing was that I could watch DAVE TV in my room. The good news is that Cornwall & Devon are behind me and many consider that to be the hardest part and its where most people who under estimate this part of the world give up!

Really got going this morning and by 11am was in Taunton, navigating through the myriad of cycle paths..this is where the flight deck came in, otherwise would of been well lost. After the canal towpath, through Borrowbridge and time for brew stop and lunch with Boycie. Had to put my Shell fire safety training to good use and go for the fire extinguisher as Boyce almost blew up the cooker and part of Somerset due to dodgy gas canister change.

I've come to the conclusion that these rest stops are more stressful than being on the bike! Another ten miles and arrive at Cheddar at 2.15pm, Boyce finds me and I follow him to the B&B where we met by Ann, our lovely eccentric and theatrical hostess for the evening.

Now this lady is just blinding, operates a clean desk policy and is just all over the place..love it.

Nipped into Cheddar and bought various cheeses and hot chilli chutneys...Boycie is going for the traditional Ploughman's for lunch!

Keep putting your comments on the various Blogs..there well funny...and pass it on to anybody you think who might find this amusing?

Target now reset to £4,000...and ELMA where are you?...we can't here you!

Good to see you got the priorities right let the kettle boil before you put the fire out.

Just imagine the paper work if you where here !!!
SIMS, risk assesments , method statments, work permits you would need another week to complete the route.

PS did Tommy find you as he's not been seen since he set off with two bacon butties and the spare dice.

Boycie when faced with a crisis! Take a leaf out of the "Blue Peter" handbook!
1. Take one empty Fairy Liquid Bottle and some sticky back plastic - that should do the trick! But remember if you need to use scissors, ask an adult to help (That's you Al - Boycie score a big zero with the gas canister I'm afraid.)
