Cycled down the Golden Valley following the River Wye. stopped off at Skenrith to have a quick clock of the castle...11th century originally...views are just magnificent, really glad I chose this route and kept of the 'A' roads.
Had a problem with the Garmin GPS, and needed roadside repairs. Still got the old 'apprentice' magic and repaired with 'sparks' tape an a tie wrap.
Managed to collect £95 en route...hows that! brilliant thanks to all those who donated the cash, I have updated the JustGiving site accordingly.

Arrived at Mums and Bev's in Eardisley at 2:15pm...under estimated the 40 miles from Monmouth, much hillier and harder than I thought.

Bev's Workshop..check this out!...if your looking 'our kid' in ELMA, then that's the standard we're looking for!
Big day tomorrow..100 mile to Tarporley, plan is 7:00am start to arrive around 5pm.

What do most cyclists want to eat when they get home?
a)A nice home cooked dinner?
b)Black pudding and chips down The Forresters?
Nice comment mother! I like the survey style question but will I get a multiple choice menu when i next come to stay?!! xx
I heard that most cyclists like b) Black pudding and a pepper sauce fountain down the forresters!! Oh and not forgetting a few pints to prevent dehydration... good luck with the hefty milage tomorrow Dean!
Great going boys! Big pull tomorrow.
Shazza you.ve been reading too many '50,s journels on "the way to a mans heart is .." a trip to the Forresters ....of course!
Nice to see you have not forgotten the lads in ELMA - Al.
Keep it up lads!
Al could'nt see any DW10 transmissions or pink dice in Bev's garage! keep up the good work, your doin a good-un, Steve & Tommy
Keep the wind at your back and keep going. Hope you enjoy your rest day back home.
Good luck. Mike
Getting harder to spot the dice think we need to get some bigger ones for you
However presume that will not be a problem when you wear them with pride in the Forrester's
Good to see that you are following strict energy diet to enable you to complete the west coast tour
Doing well keep enjoying the ride
