Leaving Shrewsbury there was a distinct lack from grinding from Andy's front wheel, Patrick had the look of a driven man and Barry was in metro-ohmic mode. After the pull out of Shrewsbury, the roads were generally flatter and we were able to maintain a pretty good turn of speed.
We stopped for lauch at the Black Lion in Ellesmere and went all up-market with Panini's, Baguette's and a bottle of Red... after the bottle of Red, Patrick suddenly was feeling the worst for wear and made a call to 'International Rescue' (his lad Chris) and Thunderbird 2 arrived and gave Patrick a welcome lift home.
Barry, Andy an me carried on, picked up the pace and by 3:30 arrived at the Foresters Hotel in Tarporley....journeys end. Partrick was there to meet us and after a good hot bath, some 'eggy bread' had recovered well enough to enjoy a couple of beers...
